Well, last Sunday was certainly very exciting and unfortunately very disappointing. Same time next year, different outcome.
Barbara Armstrong at the Tisbury School wants you to know packets are ready to register your child for kindergarten next fall. Children must be five years old by Sept. 1 to get in that class. Call 508-696-6500. All applications must be in by March 30.
You can’t tell me you’re out there with nothing going on. This is the time of year I especially expect to hear from Islanders about births, visitors, vacations, achievements. True, I missed reminding you of the Big Chili contest, but as usual it was packed and successful. Now, call me. I miss you.
I always watch the State of the Union address, whether or not the president was my candidate, I like to see how well it is delivered and how well it was written. I consider it the annual pep rally for the country. I thought last Tuesday night’s was great, but the real jewel in the crown was former Arizona congressman Gabby Giffords. It was heartwarming to see her there.
