No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days, after the date set for the opening thereof. The Town is renovating the Vineyard Haven Public Library (the “Library”) building located at 200 Main Street, Vineyard Haven. The Town is seeking to lease property/premise(s)s to provide staff office space and limited Library operations to the public while the library is under construction. The Town of Tisbury requests proposals for the leasing and use of property suitable for the Vineyard Haven Library Pursuant to M.G.L.c 30B. The Town of Tisbury seeks bids for RFP for Satellite Public Library Space Lease. The Vineyard Haven Library is seeking a lease for 12 months beginning in April 1, 2025, with the option to renew for a month-to-month extension or one additional year period.
Building must be suitable for Public Library Services to the Community. Additional requirements are contained in RFP The property being offered for rent or lease shall be located within a certain distance of the library, as set forth below; have sufficient space to accommodate the operations of the library specified herein. Specific Requirements: • Minimum 1,200 sq. ft. and maximum 2,000 sq. ft. total space. • Space to include workstations for 7 people, including at least one closed office, with sufficient lighting, electrical outlets, and ethernet ports. • Also to include space sufficient to accommodate at least 450 linear feet of library book stack shelving (minimum 500 sf), with minimum live floor load capacity of 150 pounds per-squarefoot slab on grade or otherwise certified. • Location in the downtown or business district of Tisbury (B1 or B2 districts).
